17. SEMEN TORN – ‘Suspicion’
Produced & performed by ‘S.T’
Recorded September 2010 at unknown location.
© 2011 Semen Torn / Andrew Mortensen

As it says above, little is known about Semen Torn. All I know is a person by the initials of “S.T” requested to participate, sending me an email from an address of semen_torn.
The email said, (quote)
“hi. i heard about your remix thing. im up for shit. send me files or whateva. S.T”.
I had no idea what to expect, but what I got back is some weird stuff.
It’s dark, gritty, dirty and creepy – a perfect way to end Volume 4. The picture above was sent to me and is apparently art work for the Semen Torn CD-R that’s supposedly floating around.
I have no idea where the element of the original song is, but I think I can hear the bass line from the middle in there.
- Andrew Mortensen, October 2011

02. AGGRAVATED SAX – Nothing Like A False Prophet
Recorded, arranged and produced at AM Frequencies January/February 2011 by Andrew Mortensen
© 2011 Andrew Mortensen

This track was arranged in one night.
I’d been listening to Fred Frith‘s album “Freedom In Fragments” which is an album of compositions he wrote, and performed by R.O.V.A.
I love this album and I wanted to try something like it.
I thought using the remix project would be prefect as a way of experimenting with the project idea of 2 altos, 2 tenors and 2 baris saxes.
I plan of writing an EP worth of tracks for this ensemble.
