Another remix that just poured out of me with ease. I’d been listening to Scorn a bit around the time of this (it’s obvious), especially the Evanescence album. I tried to get similar sounds and production to that of the aforementioned album, an example is trying to make guitar tone similar to Jim Plotkin‘s guitar as well as the bass sound. The bass was made from actual samples from the original song‘s bass track chopped, and then mixed with a sub filter and a sub synth. I’m really happy with how this one turned out and I had a lot of fun putting it together.

The album that influenced this track heavily: Scorn's "Evanescence" (Earache, 1994)

There’s quite a few musician-friends sampled in this.
The extended drone throughout the entire track is of Ian Pieterse (Slimey Things,
Rica Tetas, Petulant Frenzy) and Luke Doyle (Substation 129, Billy Liar).
The samples came from a Billy Liar recording. When processed, Luke’s chords created this ethereal harmony to the song, and Ian’s alto sax harmonics added a similar effect, and made it all sound uneasy and creepy.
Also sampled was drummer Jacob Cook (Brokn, Adam Pringle Band, Mental As Anything). I took some of Jacob’s breaks from some rehearsals/jams we had around 2000 and edited them. Also, Adam Pringle was sampled from the same rehearsals as the Jacob samples. I took a chord/note and processed beyond recognition to add to the ethereal harmony/pad type thing.
